Conference Description

The Gordon Research Seminar on Cornea and Ocular Surface Biology and Pathology is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas.

The focus of this meeting is to bring together early career ocular researchers and foster creativity and collaborations for future research. The topics covered in this meeting will include investigators with diverse interests in cornea and ocular surface biology. Therefore, the meeting will evolve around the latest advances in cornea, limbus, tear film, lacrimal and meibomian glands, anterior eye immunology/infection, tissue homeostasis and development, ophthalmic genetics, innervation/pain/itch as well as, progress in regenerative medicine and stem cell biology that affects all components of the anterior eye. This meeting will also include a mentoring session from both leading established investigators and early career investigators on pathways to success.

This GRS will be held in conjunction with the "Cornea and Ocular Surface Biology and Pathology" Gordon Research Conference (GRC).
