Conference Description

The Biomaterials GRC provides an international forum for the presentation and discussion of cutting-edge research related to the interactions of biological systems with engineered, synthetic and natural materials. This conference brings together chemists, engineers, biologists, and clinicians working on interdisciplinary approaches to understand and/or control biological responses to materials in various biomedical and biotechnological applications. Major discussion topics include protein and cell interactions at biointerfaces, inflammatory and immune responses to implanted materials, functional performance of biomedical devices, systems for controlled delivery of therapeutics, synthesis of novel, hybrid materials, and tissue healing and regeneration. Finally, the conference also strives to facilitate interactions between junior and underrepresented minority researchers in the biomaterials and tissue engineering area with prominent senior investigators in the field as well as scientists from leading biomedical companies.

What is a GRC? Gordon Research Conferences (GRC) are 5-day meetings that bring scientists together from around the world to present and discuss unpublished research with other leaders in their field.
