Conference Description

For over three decades, the Dynamics at Surfaces Gordon Conference has brought together experts working at the frontiers of experimental and theoretical surface dynamics. Much of the focus was initially on systems relevant to catalysis, with an emphasis on understanding the reactive and non-reactive collisions of molecules with metal surfaces. An array of modern surface science techniques has made it possible to study these processes in great detail, in ultra high vacuum, and on clean well-characterized surfaces. The many other topics of interest include understanding the nature of adsorption on surfaces, adsorbate mobility, the dynamics of reactions between adsorbates, spectroscopic probes of adsorbate behavior, and the dynamical properties of the surfaces themselves.

What is a GRC? Gordon Research Conferences (GRC) are 5-day meetings that bring scientists together from around the world to present and discuss unpublished research with other leaders in their field.
