Please refer to the application instructions in the Meeting Description section below for more details (if available).

Meeting Description

Overview

The Gordon Research Seminar on Electrochemistry is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas.

The 2018 Electrochemistry GRS will provide the opportunity for young researchers (graduate students and current/recent postdoctoral fellows) to meet and establish relationships with their peers and to present to them their latest research as either a poster or an oral presentation. In line with the accompanying GRC meeting, topics of research will include (but not be limited to): fundamental electrochemistry, electrocatalysis, bioelectrochemical systems, single molecule/entity electrochemistry, theoretical and computation electrochemistry, energy applications, organic electrochemistry and new electroanalytical methods. Poster sessions and free-time will enable young researchers to network and exchange ideas with their peers.

The 2018 Electrochemistry GRS will introduce a short session focusing on career development, whereby a few fellow scientists whom have been recently appointed to academic or industrial positions will hold a Q&A panel designed to guide those looking for advice on advancing to the next steps of their career.

Application Instructions

The meeting will feature approximately 10 talks and 2 poster sessions. All attendees are expected to actively participate in the GRS either by giving an oral presentation or presenting a poster. Therefore, all applications must include an abstract.

The Chairs will select speakers from abstracts submitted by October 6, 2017. Those applicants who are not chosen for talks and those who apply after the deadline to be considered for an oral presentation will be expected to present a poster. In order to participate, you must submit an application by the date indicated in the Application Deadline section above.
