The Gordon Research Seminar on Thalamocortical Interactions is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas.
This inaugural GRS meeting will focus on recent advances in our understanding of thalamocortical interactions with an emphasis on how these interactions play key roles in both sensory and motor processes and the development of the brain.
The GRS will provide junior scientists a venue to further their knowledge of recent advances in the field as well as present, discuss, and receive feedback on their research. This meeting is also designed to foster interactions and constructive networking with peers and established scientists and will include a career development seminar with advice from academic scientists at different career stages.
The meeting will feature approximately 10 talks and 2 poster sessions. All attendees are expected to actively participate in the GRS either by giving an oral presentation or presenting a poster. Therefore, all applications must include an abstract.
The Chairs will select speakers from abstracts submitted by November 17, 2017. Those applicants who are not chosen for talks and those who apply after the deadline to be considered for an oral presentation will be expected to present a poster. In order to participate, you must submit an application by the date indicated in the Application Deadline section above.
