Conference Description
The Radionuclide Theranostics for the Management of Cancer GRS provides a unique forum for young doctoral and post-doctoral researchers to present their work, discuss new methods, cutting edge ideas, and pre-published data, as well as to build collaborative relationships with their peers. Experienced mentors and trainee moderators will facilitate active participation in scientific discussion to allow all attendees to be engaged participants rather than spectators.
The scientific focus of the seminar will be on the immunomodulatory and radiobiologic effects of targeted radionuclide therapy. A rapid growth in the field and the advance of combinatorial therapies highlight the importance of the tumor microenvironment, the immune system as well as cellular responses to radiation in the treatment of cancer. Theranostic approaches are essential to exploit these combined biologic responses effectively, providing an opportunity to non-invasively assess the pharmacokinetic profile of the associated radiopharmaceutical and estimate the dose delivered to healthy and tumor tissues. The aim of the seminar is to discuss the most recent findings in radio-immunobiology in addition to the development and use of associated theranostic radiopharmaceuticals, from early preclinical aspects to clinical translation.
GRS Speaker Abstract Updated Deadline: Any applicants who wish to be considered for an oral presentation should submit their application by April 21, 2024.
Application Instructions
The seminar will feature approximately 10 talks and 2 poster sessions. All attendees are expected to actively participate in the GRS, either by giving an oral presentation or presenting a poster. Therefore, all applications must include an abstract.
The seminar chair will select speakers from abstracts submitted by March 31, 2024. Those applicants who are not chosen for talks and those who apply after the deadline to be considered for an oral presentation will be expected to present a poster.
