About the Site
Salve Regina University is located about 80 miles south of Boston and is situated on the southeastern end of Aquidneck Island in the city of Newport, Rhode Island. The campus is within walking distance from the beach, the center of historic downtown Newport, Cliff Walk, the largest collection of restored 18th century mansions (including the Vanderbilt’s, Doris Duke, Marble House and the Breakers.

Arrival and Check-In
It is anticipated that attendees will arrive/check-in on Sunday between 2:00 pm & 6:00 pm. If you arrive after the GRC office closes at 9:00 pm, please check in at the Security Office located at Tobin Hall on Webster Street.
The Meeting Room and Poster Area
Science sessions are held in the air-conditioned DiStefano Lecture Hall, located in the Antone Academic Center.
Poster sessions are held in McAuley Hall, a historic mansion overlooking Salve Regina University’s beautiful grounds and the Atlantic Ocean.
On-Site Housing and Facilities
GRC participants are housed in dormitory rooms and most attendees will share bathrooms. Some dormitories are air-conditioned. For rooms without air-conditioning, a fan will be provided. Linens and towels are provided in each room.
Dining Area and Meals
All meals are served in the newly renovated, air-conditioned Miley Hall.
Vegetarian entrees and gluten friendly meals are available at all meals. Other dietary restrictions or concerns can be accommodated if advanced notice is provided.

Internet, Phone and Computer Access
Wireless Internet is available throughout campus. Wired Internet connections are provided in each individual sleeping room in the residence halls. It is suggested that you bring an Ethernet cord with you. Public computers are also available on the first floor of the McKillop Library during normal business hours.
Please note: connection to Salve Regina's network is not allowed unless your PC or Mac has anti-virus software installed (including up-to-date virus definitions). Additional information and help for connecting to the Internet is available in the GRC office on campus.
The site is fully handicapped accessible.
Conferees have access to the campus gym and there are volleyball and basketball courts as well as soccer and baseball fields available on campus. Equipment for these activities is available in the GRC office. Fishing and biking is also available.
The site offers an excursion to the nearby Sachuest Beach, one of the Ocean State’s best beaches. Details and signups are available during the conference.
Animals are not permitted on site.
All GRC facilities are smoke free.
