About the Site

Stonehill College is conveniently located off Route 24 in Massachusetts, almost midway between the cities of Providence, RI and Boston, MA.

Arrival and Check-In

It is anticipated that attendees will arrive/check-in on Sunday afternoon between 2:00 pm - 9:00 pm at the registration desk in New Hall. If you arrive after the registration desk closes at 9:00 pm, a Stonehill/GRC Concierge will be on-call until 11:00 pm to assist conferees with room assignments and keys. Please see the front door of New Hall for the on-call phone number. Attendees arriving after 11:00 pm can check-in the following morning in the GRC office to pick up their conference badge and room key.

Please note that the GRC Staff will be at the registration desk on Sundays and unable to respond quickly to voice mails. Please email the Stonehill College GRC site staff at the email address listed above (under Contact Information) if you need to reach staff during check-in hours.

Conferees registering Mondays-Thursdays should check-in at the GRC office, Room 101 in the Duffy Academic Center.

The Meeting Room and Poster Area

Science Sessions are held in the air-conditioned Hemingway Theatre, located in the Duffy Academic Center.

Poster Sessions and Socials are held in the air-conditioned Roche Dining Commons or air-conditioned Alumni Hall Auditorium.

On-Site Housing and Facilities

GRC participants are housed in suites located in the New Residence dormitory. There are five air-conditioned sleeping rooms furnished with twin bed(s), two shared bathrooms, a kitchenette and a shared living room within each suite. Bed linens and a towel are provided in each room.

There are 100 single rooms available for GRC attendees at Stonehill College. Accepted applicants have an opportunity to register for a single room on a first come, first served basis. Once all available single rooms have been reserved, you will be required to register for a shared room.

Dining Area and Meals

All meals will be served in the air-conditioned Roche Dining Commons. Vegetarian entrees are available at all meals. Kosher meals and special restricted diet meals are available if requested in advance of the meeting.

Internet, Phone and Computer Access

There is wireless access throughout the campus. In addition the dorm rooms are wired with a high-speed Ethernet connection. Please bring your own Ethernet cable.

Handicapped Accessibility

The site is fully handicapped accessible. The sleeping rooms ensuite are equipped with railings and roll in showers.

On-Site Recreation

Conferees may be issued day passes for access to the campus fitness center. Tennis courts and soccer fields as well as hiking and running trails are readily accessible to conference participants.

Animals are not permitted on site.
