Conference Description
The Bioenergetics GRS provides a unique forum for young doctoral and post-doctoral researchers to present their work, discuss new methods, cutting edge ideas, and pre-published data, as well as to build collaborative relationships with their peers. Experienced mentors and trainee moderators will facilitate active participation in scientific discussion to allow all attendees to be engaged participants rather than spectators.
Please join us on June 24-25th, 2023 for the inaugural Bioenergetics Gordon Research Seminar (GRS), which will be held at the Proctor Academy in Andover, NH (USA). The GRS will bring together a diverse group of young investigators to present their unpublished, cutting-edge research on the structure, function, and regulation of bioenergetic complexes and provide ample opportunities for scientific discussions. The GRS will feature talks and a poster session on a wide range of topics including F-/V-type ATPases, mitochondrial supercomplexes, prokaryotic energetics, and their translational application. This setup will provide a fantastic opportunity for all participants to present their findings, exchange ideas, and network with leaders in their field. In addition, a mentoring session will take place to help those at all levels navigate their career in academia. Applications are due on June 1st, but we encourage those seeking to present their work to submit their abstracts early. Those wishing to give an oral presentation must have their applications in by January 30th. Funding for travel and/or registration assistance may be available, depending on the GRS budget, with priority given to those giving oral presentations. Finally, we encourage all GRS participants to submit applications to attend the accompanying Bioenergetics Gordon Research Conference (GRC), which will be held from June 25-July 30th at the Proctor Academy. We look forward to your application!
