Conference Description

The Gordon Research Seminar on Biogenic Hydrocarbons and the Atmosphere brings together early career researchers to present and discuss interdisciplinary research and exchange cutting-edge ideas in a casual and friendly environment among peers with comparable levels of experience.

Biogenic volatile organic compounds (VOCs) exert significant impacts in atmosphere chemistry and climate change, with ample feedback within the ecosystems. This GRS aims to explore hydrocarbon-atmosphere dynamics, with a focus on the production, interactions, and the role of biogenic VOCs in a changing climate. Drawing on research performed at multiple scales and through a variety of methods, this seminar will provide an informal, dynamic setting for early career investigators to dig deep into the biogenic VOC research world outside of their expertise, providing a “breaking-the-ice” opportunity prior to the 2022 Gordon Research Conference.

This GRS will be held in conjunction with the "Biogenic Hydrocarbons and the Atmosphere" Gordon Research Conference (GRC).
