The Bones and Teeth GRS provides a unique forum for young doctoral and post-doctoral researchers to present their work, discuss new methods, cutting edge ideas, and pre-published data, as well as to build collaborative relationships with their peers. Experienced mentors and trainee moderators will facilitate active participation in scientific discussion to allow all attendees to be engaged participants rather than spectators.
The Gordon Research Seminar (GRS) on Bones and Teeth is a premier, international scientific conference focused on advancing the frontiers of science through the presentation of cutting-edge and unpublished research, prioritizing time for discussion after each talk and fostering informal interactions among scientists early in their career. In addition to premier talks, the conference has designated time for poster sessions from individuals of all career stages and communal meals allow for informal networking opportunities.
The 2026 Bones and Teeth GRS will emphasize the complexity of bone as more than just a structural element, highlighting its interactions with other organs and systems in health and disease. Each session will bring together interdisciplinary topics which will foster collaboration and new ideas in bone biology and systemic health. This specialized conference is designed for trainees and early-career professionals eager to explore the intricate interactions between bones, teeth, and other organ systems. With a focus on the latest research in bone and dental biology, this event will delve into how these two critical structures communicate with, influence, and are influenced by systems such as the immune, endocrine, and nervous systems. Through a combination of expert-led lectures, interactive workshops, and cutting-edge case studies, participants will gain a deeper understanding of how cross-system signaling impacts bone and dental health, growth, regeneration, and disease. Participants will leave with valuable insights into how advancements in one area can inform the study and treatment of bone and dental pathologies, opening up new avenues for interdisciplinary research and clinical applications.
Our program will include a diverse set of speakers from all early career stages. In addition to the invited presentations, 10 short talks will be selected from the submitted abstracts*. As in the past, this conference will prioritize participation of trainees and promote their interaction with established leaders in the field with the goal of building productive and lasting collaborations.
*GRS Short Talk Abstract Deadline: Although applications will be accepted until late December 27, 2025, any applicant who wishes to be considered for an oral presentation should submit their application by October 19, 2025.
