Conference Description
The Cell Biology of Megakaryocytes and Platelets GRS provides a unique forum for young doctoral and post-doctoral researchers to present their work, discuss new methods, cutting edge ideas, and pre-published data, as well as to build collaborative relationships with their peers. Experienced mentors and trainee moderators will facilitate active participation in scientific discussion to allow all attendees to be engaged participants rather than spectators.
In the last couple of decades there have been an increasing number of diverse biological functions attributed to megakaryocytes and platelets, with challenges to the dogmas in the field. At this GRS we will highlight and discuss the research of trainees into these fascinating cells and their progeny. We hope to provide an inclusive and engaging schedule that will enable the next generation of megakaryocyte and platelet researchers to troubleshoot and tackle the biggest unsolved mysteries in our field with like-minded peers.
