From Fundamental Electrochemistry to Engineering Applied Materials

The 2022 Gordon Research Seminar on Fuel Cells aims to bring together graduate students, post-doctoral researchers and young scientists with comparable levels of experience to share their research and exchange ideas with their peers.

The 2022 Fuel Cells GRS will focus on the recent advances and developments in fuel cell research with regard to materials, characterization methods, modeling and diagnostics pertinent to low-temperature fuel cells. This meeting will explore the fundamental issues related to fabrication of electrocatalytically active nanomaterials, ionomers, electrode design and fabrication methods, and electrochemical diagnostics. Special emphasis will also be given to advances in experimental, theoretical, and computational modeling work correlating material/electrode structure and their transport and/or kinetic properties. Discussions will progress to applications of these materials and the development of next generation high performance automotive fuel cells with optimized electrode structures and interfaces.
