Action-Oriented Industrial Ecology Science: Interdisciplinarity and Applications Across Sectors

Early-career researchers, whether PhD candidates, postdocs or masters students are encouraged to apply to attend the GRS. At the GRS, attendees will share and learn about industrial ecology research as well as attending plenary sessions related to careers in industrial ecology. All attendees are required to present a poster; any topic related to industrial ecology is welcome.

Most plenary session presenters will be selected from submitted abstracts. Through the plenary sessions, we are interested in providing early-career researchers with opportunities to present and engage with impactful research. Themes for plenary sessions will include, but are not limited to: (a) Application-based research – key trends in interdisciplinary research methods and topics; and (b) Impacts beyond academia – Industrial Ecology work translated from literature to life. A mentorship panel discussion featuring invited external experts from academia and beyond will also highlight these themes and discuss key areas of exploration going forward.
