Excitable Cells and Electrical Signaling

The Gordon Research Seminar on Ion Channels is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas.

The focus of this meeting is on the structure, function and biophysics of ion channels, transporters, and receptors that mediate cellular ion transport, encompassing areas of research from atomic structure and molecular interactions (e.g. protein-protein, or protein-lipid interactions) to cellular functions and whole animal studies. The Ion Channels GRS will give undergraduates, graduate students and post-docs working in the ion channel field the opportunity to present and discuss their data and career experiences with their peers from top laboratories from around the globe and an opportunity to discuss future career options with mentors from academia, industry, government and the media.
