Conference Description

The Ion Channels GRS provides a unique forum for young doctoral and post-doctoral researchers to present their work, discuss new methods, cutting edge ideas, and pre-published data, as well as to build collaborative relationships with their peers. Experienced mentors and trainee moderators will facilitate active participation in scientific discussion to allow all attendees to be engaged participants rather than spectators.

The Gordon Research Seminar on Ion Channels is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange ideas. At this meeting, the latest research unveiling the physiology, structure-function and modulation of ion channels will be presented and discussed by early career researchers. Attendees will also benefit from sessions with senior scientists, including keynote speaker Dr. Vasanthi Jayaraman from UT-Health, aimed at career development and approaches to research.
