Safeguarding Fertility for the Present and Future

Declining fertility in humans together with unknown causes of reproductive disease, effects of environmental stressors, and threats to survival of endangered species, all call for the continual advancements in reproductive biology research. This trainee-led seminar will provide a unique forum for graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and veterinary and medical residents/fellows to discuss their recent discoveries, cutting-edge technologies, and vision for the future while presenting original work pertinent to mammalian reproduction. This multi-disciplinary seminar welcomes research spanning from gamete development to parturition, including novel studies describing reproductive disease, fertility preservation, environmental trans-generational effects, and innovative contraceptive strategies. Trainees will have opportunities to network, collaborate, and receive insight from successful senior investigators offering inspiration in the pursuit of scientific careers amid the rapidly changing scientific culture.

Young researchers attending this Gordon Research Seminar have the valuable opportunity, and are strongly encouraged, to also attend the associated Gordon Research Conference.
