Applications for this meeting must be submitted by May 18, 2025. Please apply early, as some meetings become oversubscribed (full) before this deadline. If the meeting is oversubscribed, it will be stated here. Note: Applications for oversubscribed meetings will only be considered by the conference chair if more seats become available due to cancellations.

Conference Description

The Mycotoxins and Phycotoxins GRC is a premier, international scientific conference focused on advancing the frontiers of science through the presentation of cutting-edge and unpublished research, prioritizing time for discussion after each talk and fostering informal interactions among scientists of all career stages. The conference program includes a diverse range of speakers and discussion leaders from institutions and organizations worldwide, concentrating on the latest developments in the field. The conference is five days long and held in a remote location to increase the sense of camaraderie and create scientific communities, with lasting collaborations and friendships. In addition to premier talks, the conference has designated time for poster sessions from individuals of all career stages, and afternoon free time and communal meals allow for informal networking opportunities with leaders in the field.

The 2025 GRC on Mycotoxins and Phycotoxins will provide a lively forum for academic, government and private sector scientists to discuss novel fungal and algal toxin research, focusing on such topics as human and ecosystem health, analytical methods, modeling and mitigation, and the biology and ecology of toxin production. Fungal and algal toxins are naturally occurring food and water contaminants that adversely affect human and animal health globally. The goal of the conference is to bring together a multidisciplinary group of outstanding senior scientists and junior investigators, from diverse backgrounds and geography, to address the task of ensuring the safety of global food and water supplies. The Gordon Research Seminar (GRS), immediately preceding the GRC, is designed to give graduate students and junior scientists an ideal platform to present their research and interact both with their peers as well as experts in their fields.
