Conference Description
The Nanoporous Materials and Their Applications GRC is a premier, international scientific conference focused on advancing the frontiers of science through the presentation of cutting-edge and unpublished research, prioritizing time for discussion after each talk and fostering informal interactions among scientists of all career stages. The conference program includes a diverse range of speakers and discussion leaders from institutions and organizations worldwide, concentrating on the latest developments in the field. The conference is five days long and held in a remote location to increase the sense of camaraderie and create scientific communities, with lasting collaborations and friendships. In addition to premier talks, the conference has designated time for poster sessions from individuals of all career stages, and afternoon free time and communal meals allow for informal networking opportunities with leaders in the field.
Nanoporous solids comprise a class of materials that have widespread importance across a variety of critical commercial applications. Examples include zeolites, metal-organic frameworks, covalent organic frameworks, porous carbons, and many others. While zeolites have been in use for over 70 years as adsorbents and catalysts, other nanoporous materials are emerging as breakthrough technologies in fields as diverse as renewable energy, biotechnology, microelectronics, and water resources. This conference will bring together the leading minds in these fields and will encompass both experimental and computational aspects of synthesis, characterization, and application. These experts hail from academia, industry, and government laboratories to provide a well-rounded perspective on the latest developments in the nanoporous community.
The intimate and collegial nature of the Gordon Conferences provides the ideal environment for the shared dissemination of unpublished and fresh ideas in a candid and personal manner. We emphasize student participation and education to foster networking discussions and the growth of the next generation of nanoporous materials leaders. The conference venue will offer shared meals and social activities to enhance informal interactions, and all participants will have the chance to present a poster to showcase their latest results. It is one thing to hear an authority in the field give a talk; it is another to go on a hike with this person or develop a collaboration as you both sit on the shore of a tranquil lake. This Gordon Conference on Nanoporous Materials and Their Applications offers all of these opportunities and more--we look forward to seeing you there!
The topics, speakers, and discussion leaders for the conference sessions are displayed below. The conference chair is currently developing their detailed program, which will include the complete meeting schedule, as well as the talk titles for all speakers. The detailed program will be available by April 5, 2025. Please check back for updates.
