Occurrence and Dynamic Behavior

The Gordon Research Seminar on Natural Gas Hydrate Systems is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas.

The focus of this meeting will be current major topics in hydrate systems including earth science and engineering aspects of methane hydrate production, hydrates in and under marine systems and permafrost including potential roles in paleo- and modern climate change, and hydrates in engineered systems such as pipelines. Natural gas hydrates appear in a variety of natural and engineered systems and all disciplines and interests are encouraged to participate, including, but not limited to: sciences such as chemistry, marine geology, geophysics, geochemistry, oceanography, or planetary sciences, and applied sciences and engineering such as civil, chemical, environmental, or petroleum engineering.
