From Crystal Form to Active Functions in Physics, Chemistry and Biology

The 2016 Gordon Research Conference on Noble Metal Nanoparticles will host the same invigorating level of cutting-edge science and technology that has made the previous three Noble Metal Nanoparticles conferences so successful. Speakers and Discussion Leaders will be drawn from a complementary mix of experimentalists and theoreticians over a wide range of fields, including chemistry, physics, materials science, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering and more. Oral presentations and poster sessions will invoke lively discussions that cut across several disciplines and include participants from diverse backgrounds. Research topics will feature mesoscale assembly, crystal growth, advances in imaging, electrochemistry and catalysis, plasmonics, and biomedical and electronic applications of noble metal nanoparticles. At the conclusion of the Conference, selected poster presenters will be invited to give short talks to showcase their work. Outside of planned events, attendees will have many opportunities for informal gatherings in the afternoons and evenings to build networks and spur new research ideas. Young scientists are highly encouraged to participate in this Conference as well as the related Gordon Research Seminar on Noble Metal Nanoparticles. As always, a great emphasis will be placed on unpublished, novel, and exciting results. We look forward to this being a vibrant and stimulating atmosphere for furthering new and impactful research for noble metal nanoparticles.
