Phagocytes in Homeostasis, Development and Disease

The 2025 Phagocytes Gordon Research Conference will bring together the international community of phagocyte investigators to share their cutting-edge, unpublished research. Invited speakers who are leaders and rising stars in the field, along with speakers selected from submitted abstracts, will present their unpublished studies related to phagocyte ontogeny and function. Topics will include phagocyte signaling and inflammation; single-cell analysis of lineages and functions of phagocytes; phagocytes in host-microbe interactions, allergy, autoimmunity, and neuroimmunology; phagocytes in cancer biology and vascular disease; the biophysics, biochemistry, and cell biology of phagocytosis; and phagocytes in development. The program will be inclusive of professional (macrophages, neutrophils, dendritic cells) and non-professional phagocytes in diverse model systems. The program will encourage robust discussion and the sharing of new ideas through the sessions that are led by experts in the field, poster presentations, and many opportunities for informal interactions throughout the meeting. 2025 is the 22nd iteration of the Phagocytes GRC, emphasizing the tradition of excellence and strength of the community at this conference. The Phagocytes GRC has a history of supportive and engaged participation for researchers at all levels, including those new to the field. To support the participation of students and postdoctoral fellows who are future leaders in the field, the conference will be preceded by a Gordon Research Seminar (GRS). The Phagocytes GRS, which is organized by and for trainees, is a venue for trainees to present talks and posters on their research in a collegial, dynamic environment.
