Conference Description

The Gordon Research Seminar on Physical Virology is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas.

To address the inherently interdisciplinary nature of this field, the seminar will feature student presentations from fundamental virus specialties such as viral structure, super-macromolecular analysis, viral life cycles and viral immunity as well as applied specialties such as viral materials, vaccine development and viral engineering. The seminar will also include a mentorship component toward elucidating job prospects in this field.

This GRS will be held in conjunction with the "Physical Virology" Gordon Research Conference (GRC). Those interested in attending both meetings must submit an application for the GRC in addition to an application for the GRS. Refer to the associated GRC program page for more information.
