Application Information

Applications for this meeting must be submitted by June 8, 2025. Please apply early, as some meetings become oversubscribed (full) before this deadline. If the meeting is oversubscribed, it will be stated here. Note: Applications for oversubscribed meetings will only be considered by the conference chair if more seats become available due to cancellations.

Conference Description

The Stress Proteins in Growth, Development and Disease GRC is a premier, international scientific conference focused on advancing the frontiers of science through the presentation of cutting-edge and unpublished research, prioritizing time for discussion after each talk and fostering informal interactions among scientists of all career stages. The conference program includes a diverse range of speakers and discussion leaders from institutions and organizations worldwide, concentrating on the latest developments in the field. The conference is five days long and held in a remote location to increase the sense of camaraderie and create scientific communities, with lasting collaborations and friendships. In addition to premier talks, the conference has designated time for poster sessions from individuals of all career stages, and afternoon free time and communal meals allow for informal networking opportunities with leaders in the field.

Applications for short talks: We have 25 spots open for short talks, one of which is reserved for the candidate that will be selected by the GRS attendees. Attendees who wish for one of the remaining 24 spots are invited to send an email to h.h.kampinga@umcg.nl with a short motivation. You must have registered for the meeting and submitted your abstract to be eligible. Talks will be selected based on the quality of the abstract and fit into the program. We have reserved some spots for graduate students, postdoctoral fellows or early career scientists (PhD within 10 years of 2025). Woman and people from underrepresented groups are strongly encouraged to apply. Application deadline: April 30, 2025. Announcement of selection: Before May 31, 2025.

Application for funding: We are pleased to announce that we have received substantial funding registration fee reimbursements for graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, early career scientists (PhD within 10 years of 2025), women, and underrepresented groups, all excluding US government employees. Applications for these funds can be sent by email to h.h.kampinga@umcg.nl and should include a short motivation and a support letter from your supervisor. You must have registered for the meeting and submitted your abstract to be eligible. Application deadline: April 30, 2025. Announcement of selection: Before May 31, 2025.
