The Gordon Research Seminar on X-Ray Science is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas.

X-ray-based science, which is today mainly developed at large scale facilities such as storage rings and X-ray laser facilities, continues to push into uncharted territories in physics, chemistry, biology, materials science, and a host of applied sciences. The focus of this meeting, with its strongly interdisciplinary character, is to provide a stimulating environment to present the latest research, engage in discussions in a friendly setting, and exchange with peers.

The Keynote Speaker will be Dr. Gene Ice, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, who will speak on "How X-ray Micro/Nanobeams Are Now Revealing Long Standing Mysteries of Materials Structure and Evolution".
